Monica Collings

Monica Collings is an award winning former energy retail Chief Executive, with an impressively diverse career trajectory. 

After leading Vattenfall’s UK energy retailer, Monica navigated the energy crisis at the helm of challenger, So Energy, where she played a pivotal role in the merger with ESB Energy - a strategic moved that solidified her sector impact. 

Before these energy-focused roles, Monica’s commercial experience spanned property, automotive and retail home improvement – all adjacent markets relevant to the energy transition. 

Having stepped down from her executive career, Monica now works plurally across a portfolio of non-executive and advisory board roles, including as the Chair of energy technology SaaS business, Swarm. 

Having served as the only female Chief Executive of a domestic supplier, Monica has been at the forefront of promoting greater gender representation in the workplace, evidenced through her advocacy of organisations such as POWERful Women and Women’s Utilities Network. 

She attended the United Nation’s 68th Session of the Commission on the Status of Women as a UK Delegate.
